Useful Tips For Flying Out Of Wyoming For The Holidays

Travel around the holidays is a huge pain in the butt. Over the years, I’ve been on the road or in the air, almost every holiday.

It’s one thing to drive to your destination, you’re probably going to see more traffic, but it surely won’t be as bad as driving to the airport, dealing with other passengers and waiting in a crowded airport terminal, all with the possibility of your plane being delayed or flight cancelled.

Here in Wyoming, we’re pretty lucky that you can get to one of the airports and not have to deal with horrible amounts of people. Actually, flying out of our airports is ideal for a quick holiday getaway. You don’t have much traffic to deal with, you can get to the airport, through security and to your gate in about 15 minutes tops.

If you’ve done your planning and have your basic Wyoming air travel supplies, you may actually love the experience.

This year, AAA says there are going to be about 113 million people in the US that will travel more than 50 miles over the next couple months.

If you’re one of those traveling by plane from one of Wyoming’s regional airports or making the trip to Denver or Rapid City to fly out this year, here are a few things you can do to make the trip easier on you, AND your family.

Mattress Next Day Has Valuable Tips To Help Your Travels

CHOOSE THE RIGHT SEAT

Traveling comfortably on a plane begins with your choice of seat. When booking your flights, consider investing a little extra in the right seat for your needs.

If you have long legs, opt for an emergency exit seat to enjoy extra legroom. To minimize interruptions during the flight, book a window seat, ensuring that you won’t have to get up every five minutes to let fellow travelers pass.

WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING

Leave those slightly too-tight jeans and heeled boots behind and opt for cozy and comfy this festive season. Those oversized sweaters, or a hoodie are excellent choices for in-flight comfort, especially during long-haul trips. Also, it’s essential to avoid feeling excessively hot or cold.

DON’T FORGET NECK PILLOW

To ensure a restful flight, a neck pillow can make a world of difference. It not only helps maintain a relaxed posture but also prevents neck and shoulder stiffness.

DON’T FORGET FLIGHT ESSENTIALS

A neck pillow is just one piece of the puzzle. Eye masks, earplugs, and noise-canceling headphones are equally important to create an ideal sleeping environment.

For travelers who anticipate staying awake, consider downloading the latest TV shows, books, or puzzle books on your phone or tablet to pass the time seamlessly.

DOWNLOAD WHITE NOISE APP
